Ian
Thanks for the update, and firstly congratulations to John as i think that secures him our A group. Just different class, i am riding in the presence of a genuine legend!!
Sounds like your race was seriously hard work, well done in getting Jordan back into the race, to sacrifice your own chances for those of a teammate is what teamwork and being part of Dinnington Racing Club is all about. It is only inevitable that you would feel the after effects of such a massive effort bringing him back upto the group.
I am already looking forward to next season, cant wait!!!

How do!
Well done to JD. An awesome & well deserved overall victory. Great job!
Ian, what a bummer! You did seem narked when we spoke briefly last night. Good on ya for soldiering on...especially as the conditions were shocking. My mate got dropped from C group & jacked straight away...a tough night for sure. When Jordan dropped his chain you could have "Alberto'd" him! Not the DRC way of doing things tho..
Let this mishap fire you up for great things on the 5th. As Baldrick used to say " I have a cunning plan!". Here's hoping the weather isn't remotely like last night tho.
Andy.
ps...is it worth starting a Marmotte thread to keep all interested peeps up to speed regarding training rides, entry, owt else etc??

I would just like to echo the words already said on this forum. Congratulations to Johnny Downing on the overall victory in Group A. It has been great to be part of DRC and it has been fantastic to see how we have worked and celebrated the victories. The format has worked really well and it has made for a feeling of a more meaningful race, particularly for us in Group A. I certainly don't think Rich and Scott would disagree! Performances in groups B and C have also made it a great season. It has been impressive to see Andy R improve through the season and to be part of the break to catch group C and for his solo victory. Although Jordan didn't win the overall, he has again, had a good number of races and has remained competitive in the sprints. All in all 3 good series of races and I, to, can't wait for next year.
