Really enjoyed my ride last night. Weather was good and the race was much livelier than last week, instead of hanging around at the back I managed to get involved and was quite active in the race. It was very hard work, lots of breaks and lots of frantic chasing - overall the pace was a lot quicker than the first couple of races and I was hanging onto wheels at times.
I managed to get in break on the last lap, flat out up the long hill but we got caught by the Ranby turn. 2 lads were already away and the bunch sprint was for 3rd which Jordan won in style, I finished about 20th but really happy after a hard ride.
A real buzz afterwards to have got round another one. Definitely enjoying the race format. My new Project wheels were excellent but one small oversight, I forgot to transfer my computer magnet so I had no idea how fast we were going, maybe that was a good thing!!
Team tactics have been discussed for the A group race next week, we are expecting a result!

Well done Jordan on the sprint. Good to see you having a go Ian. Interesting that all the group C races so far have been won by a breakaway.

Well this weeks race was my favorite of the series to date, it was so nice to be able to sit in my car as the following marshall with a cheeky bag of crisps watching everyone else doing the hard work. In all seriousness though, to be able to follow and watch the C group boys was a real eye opener, not sure what the average speed was but would definitely say 30mph+ and for the final sprint my speedometer was reading 42mph!! Wow!!.
It was good to see Ian and Jordan giving it a bit of a go, and once again Jordan blasted his way up to the front with an impressive burst of speed from 150 metres out. I am definitely fancying Ian going with a lone breakaway at some point in the series.
This week us group A's are back in the saddle and i for one am raring to go. Looking forward to trying to get a bit more organised and see if we can pull something off for Dinnington.

Boys,
You need to get together before the start and plan an attack, fairly early in the race. Give 110% working together for 5 mins then get a good rythmn going. If 4 or 5 of you go together you will stay away.
good luck
